What Is Global Warming? How Does It Affect Us?
Excessive Carbon Dioxide emissions can cause the environmental problem known as Global Warming. Global Warming is the gradual increase in the temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere. This can affect habitats of animals and our atmosphere’s capabilities of keeping deadly sunrays out of Earth. However, there are ways to stop the awful catastrophe from happening. The simple answer is to use more Alternative Energy Resources.
The Earth has begun to heat at 1.4 degrees to 5.8 degrees Celsius every year. It has been occurring over the past 50 years. In this time there has been an increase of population and people using electricity. This trend will also continue to increase if we don’t prevent Global Warming from increasing.
The warming of Earth will cause many disastrous events. First, the glaciers will completely melt in the North and South Poles. This process has already started. Sea levels will rise because of the ice melting, producing more water. The animals that have lost their icy habitats will have to move somewhere else and adapt to the changes. Ecosystems may have to completely change.
The new amounts of water will make storms more common. Large storms like hurricanes will be more common and even more powerful. Floods will also become more common from the increase of the rainfall.
Less fresh water will be available and because of that, diseases will be more common. Diseases will be able to spread faster and will last longer.
The largest impact on the Earth will just be the heating in general. There will be less ice for polar bears to live on. Deserts will become more barren and hot. There will be a drastic difference in the habitats of animals and the way they will adapt to the change. These changes will make it hard for life to exist the way it does today.
